It’s official: MG IM5 and MG IM6 are coming to Denmark in october. Both fully electric models pair strong performance with long range, fast charging and a genuinely extensive level of technology and equipment, marking what the brand is calling “a new tier” for MG in the Danish market.
MG Intelligent Mobility platform underpins both new models
With the IM5 and IM6, MG is pushing into a new part of the electric car market. The IM name stands for Intelligent Mobility, and both models were developed with the goal of bringing electric performance and advanced technology together with comfort, safety and a genuinely intuitive driving experience.
MG IM5 sedan and IM6 SUV take different approaches
The MG IM5 is a fully electric sedan with a sporty, aerodynamic shape built around performance and driving dynamics, while the MG IM6 is a fully electric SUV combining strong performance with space, flexibility and everyday usability. What unites the two is a shared ambition to deliver a genuinely cohesive experience, one where advanced technology, comfort and driving character all work together rather than competing for attention.
Both models are built around a new generation of electric technology, combining strong output, long range and fast charging with intelligent solutions spanning the drivetrain, chassis and cabin. The focus isn’t simply piling on features for the sake of it, but making the car feel more intuitive, comfortable and effortless to drive day to day.
Inside, that technology focus continues through a digital cockpit and a wide range of functions designed to make both the drive itself and everyday use genuinely easier. Real attention has also gone into materials, comfort and noise levels, so the advanced tech is matched by a cabin that feels noticeably more refined and upscale. Safety and driving dynamics play a central role too, with advanced driver assistance systems and intelligent chassis solutions aimed at delivering safety, stability and a genuinely engaging drive all at once.
A new side of MG, without abandoning what made it popular
MG has built a strong reputation in Denmark in recent years around offering a lot of car for the money, backed by a generous level of standard equipment across its lineup. The IM5 and IM6 build directly on that same philosophy, while raising the bar considerably. Performance, range and charging speed all step up, but so do technology, comfort and the overall experience. Features traditionally associated with higher end cars now sit at the core of the IM models, while a high level of standard equipment remains just as central to the brand’s identity as ever.
In that sense, the IM5 and IM6 don’t change what MG has become known for. They show instead just how far that same philosophy can stretch once the ambition gets turned up further. Both models have already made an impression in international markets through their combination of electric performance, range, fast charging and advanced technology, and it’s now Danish drivers’ turn to find out what IM actually delivers.
Rasmus Aagaard, chief executive of MG Motor Denmark, expressed genuine pleasure at being able to confirm the IM5 and IM6 for Denmark, describing the IM models as a significant step up for MG that builds on what customers already know the brand for, while lifting performance, technology and comfort to a level not previously offered in the Danish market. He said the team is looking forward to introducing both models soon and showing a new side of MG to Danish buyers.
A new chapter for MG in Denmark
The MG IM5 and IM6 will become an important new addition to MG’s Danish model range, expanding the brand’s electric lineup with two strong additions that combine MG’s familiar approach to equipment and value with higher performance, more advanced technology and a genuinely elevated experience. The underlying ambition stays the same as ever: making attractive electric mobility accessible to more people, now extended into a new class as well.
Full details on the MG IM5 and IM6, including Danish model variants, specifications, equipment and pricing, will be announced at a later date. Both models are expected to reach Danish dealerships as early as October.
