Zero Motorcycles at Eicma 2023 with the new Street Range Models

The Street Range is the first to be renewed, featuring the flagship models Zero SR/F and SR/S. The absolute novelty is the new Zero S, which is based on the same platform as its older siblings but can be registered as 11 kW, similar to the FXE.

The new Zero S replaces the previous model, expanding the potential target and optimizing the balance between usage cost and available range, with the new Z-Force 75-7 motor. As mentioned, the new motor has 11 kW with performance superior to an equivalent thermal unit in power, thanks to constant torque, progression managed by electronics without losses due to a traditional transmission.

Additionally, the 2024 Zero S has the same external hardware as the SR/F but combines an internal architecture aimed at maximizing power output and reducing weight, resulting in a mass of 223 kg, among the best in full-size electric nakeds with comparable technical equipment. In terms of range, it reaches up to 248 km in urban cycles, and the electronic motor management can be adjusted to maximize either performance or autonomy.

Novelties also include the Zero SR, which in the 2024 model year will be available as standard in the A2 license configuration, with the possibility of upgrading for the A license, making it a flexible and customizable electric motorcycle.

The Dual Sport Range

The 2024 Dual Sport range will be characterized by the DSR/X with new standard spoked wheels and Pirelli Scorpiontm tires, and two motorcycles sharing the platform but targeting different audiences. The first is the Zero DS MY24, designed for A1 or B license holders; the second is the Zero DSR MY24, for A2 license holders.

The DS is the new entry-level product in the Dual Sport range, bringing the comfort and range features of the DSR/X with a motor under 11 kW, suitable for riders as young as 16 or those with only a B license. Thus, it offers exceptional torque for all types of terrain, Pirelli Scorpiontm tires, and lightweight alloy wheels, with a total weight fixed at 239 kg.

DSR MY24, on the other hand, targets A2 license holders, with unique torque characteristics on the market, a constant value of 170 N/m, and powerful delivery. Furthermore, through a software update at official Zero Motorcycles dealers, it can be enhanced for A license holders, with torque reaching 195 N/m.

As mentioned, there are also updates for the DSR/X. Not only the new wheels but also a special version called the Black Forest Edition, specifically designed for the most extreme adventures with full optional equipment. It features a glossy total black color and comes standard with an enlarged windshield, handguards, engine guards, headlight protection, additional lights, center stand, and a set of three bags. For the model, there is also a chain kit for more challenging off-road situations and an accessory line aimed at increasing battery capacity or charging speed.

The 11 kW models

Two new 11 kW proposals were anticipated, the Zero S MY24 and the Zero DS MY24, joining the Zero FXE MY24 for a complete 11 kW range for A1 or B license holders.
