MG Motor Danmark has announced a significant price reduction on its MGS5 EV (our review here), making the popular electric SUV more accessible to Danish consumers. The model now starts at 199,999 DKK — a 30,000 DKK cut from its previous starting price of 229,999 DKK. The new prices are effective from April 17, 2026.
Alongside the reduced prices, MG is currently offering an additional incentive for buyers. Until June 30, every MGS5 EV purchase includes a 6-month Clever One charging subscription and standard home charger installation at no extra cost — providing a straightforward entry into EV ownership with charging covered both at home and on the road.

A Practical EV Built for Everyday Life
The MGS5 EV is available in three variants, each designed to suit different driving needs. The Standard Range Comfort offers a WLTP range of up to 340 km, while the Long Range Comfort extends that to 480 km. The top-of-the-range Long Range Luxury delivers up to 465 km. All variants support a towing capacity of up to 750 kg, adding flexibility for both leisure and practical use.
Built on MG’s modular platform, the MGS5 EV makes strong use of its interior space, offering comfortable seating in both rows. Boot capacity stands at 453 litres in standard configuration and expands to 1,441 litres with the rear seats folded flat, aided by 60:40 split-folding rear seats and a double-level boot floor.
The cabin is centred around a 12.8-inch HD touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Luxury trim goes further with built-in apps including YouTube, Spotify and TikTok, as well as a power-operated tailgate.
All variants come equipped with the iSmart system, which connects the driver to the car via a smartphone app — enabling remote locking and unlocking, cabin pre-conditioning, route planning, and monitoring of battery and tyre pressure.
Driver assistance is covered by MG Pilot, a full ADAS suite that includes automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist and cruise control. Drivers can also save and personalise their preferences through MG Pilot Custom.
