After months of anticipation from enthusiasts and collectors alike, Jensen International has officially confirmed the name of its forthcoming ultra-high-performance machine: the Jensen Interceptor GTX.
Set to make its global debut in the second quarter of 2026 as a pre-production special, the Interceptor GTX marks an entirely new chapter for one of Britain’s most storied automotive names — not a continuation of any past model, but a clean-slate creation with the ambition to redefine what a handcrafted performance car can be in the modern era.
Jensen Interceptor GTX: the first company’s original design
The Interceptor GTX is the company’s first fully original design, conceived and engineered from the ground up. Its foundation is an aluminium chassis clothed in a contemporary, hand-built aluminium body — a form simultaneously striking and purposeful. Power comes from a bespoke V8 engine developed specifically for the car, with an explicit brief to deliver what the company describes as an immersive analogue driving experience at a time when electrification dominates industry headlines.

Alongside the name reveal, Jensen International announced that Jeff Qvale — son of Kjell Qvale, the late American entrepreneur and former major shareholder of the original Jensen Motors — has joined the project as a key partner. The announcement carries clear symbolic weight: Qvale brings not only deep professional credentials in the global high-end automotive market, but a personal connection to Jensen that few others can claim. As a teenager, he spent time on the factory floor of Jensen Motors in the United Kingdom while his father held a controlling stake in the company. His family’s legacy spans importing, distribution, retail and limited-series manufacturing across British, Italian, and performance marques.
For Qvale himself, the commitment goes beyond commerce. “For me, this project is very personal,” he said. “Jensen was a big part of my father’s life and our family history. Hand-built to the utmost quality, the Jensen Interceptor GTX will set new benchmarks and provide the pure, high-performance, ultra-analogue driving experience that discerning clientele are now demanding.” His involvement is expected to be particularly significant in opening doors to Jensen International’s target clientele across North America and global luxury markets.
Full details of specification, performance figures, pricing, and production volume remain under wraps ahead of the official Q2 debut. What is clear, however, is that Jensen International intends the Interceptor GTX to occupy a distinct and uncompromising position in the ultra-luxury performance segment — a hand-built, naturally aspirated, analogue counterpoint to an industry moving rapidly toward electrification and digital abstraction.
