Visitors to Elbilmessen 2026 in Herning get the first chance in Denmark to see the new Lexus TZ in the metal. The large six-seat electric SUV is on display at MCH Messecenter Herning from 2 to 4 October, and Lexus has opened orders in Denmark at the same time, with Danish prices starting at DKK 649,500. Deliveries are expected in 2027.

The TZ is Lexus’ third dedicated electric car, and it seats six across three rows.

A lounge on wheels

Lexus has designed the TZ around comfort. The idea is a cabin that feels like a lounge, with quiet, relaxed travel for both driver and passengers. At 5.1 metres long and with a wheelbase of more than three metres, it offers plenty of space. The second row has two individual captain’s chairs, while the third row offers good head and legroom, even for adults.

Up front, a low horizontal dashboard improves visibility, and Lexus’ new Arene software platform runs the digital cockpit. Even the base version has a 12.3-inch driver display and a new 14-inch central touchscreen with cloud-based navigation.

Two powertrains, one battery

Both versions use a 95.8 kWh battery and Lexus’ DIRECT4 all-wheel drive, which automatically distributes power between the front and rear axles. The TZ 450e has 313 hp, while the TZ 550e raises output to 409 hp.

The preliminary WLTP range is up to 544 km. The TZ supports AC charging at up to 22 kW and DC fast charging at up to 150 kW, with a 10–80 percent charge expected to take just over half an hour. Lexus stresses that all figures are preliminary until the car is type-approved.

Standard dynamic rear-wheel steering turns the rear wheels by up to four degrees, improving stability at speed and agility in town, and cutting the turning circle to just 5.4 metres.

Generous standard equipment

The TZ 450e Executive already comes well equipped, with 20-inch alloy wheels, three-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, remote-controlled parking assistance, heated and ventilated front seats and Lexus’ largest-ever panoramic glass roof, stretching over all three rows. The latest Lexus Safety System+ is standard, including an emergency assistant that can stop the car safely if the driver stops responding and automatically call for help via eCall.

The TZ 550e Luxury adds ottoman-style leg rests for the front passenger and second-row captain’s chairs, discreet infrared radiant heating for the driver’s and front passenger’s legs, 22-inch wheels, heated third-row and ventilated second-row seats, and a 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system.
