How to get the free ride
To travel for free you must:
- Download a coupon in the DSB app.
- Have an active DSB Plus profile.
Once the coupon is activated, it allows unlimited travel on all S-train lines for the entire Sunday 24-hour period — from 00:00 Sunday until 23:59 Sunday. If you are out late after a Saturday event (for example a Christmas party) and your trip begins after midnight, that journey is covered by the free Sunday offer as long as it starts within the Sunday 24-hour window.
Children travel free
Children under 15 can travel free without the DSB app or a DSB Plus profile, making the offer accessible for families.
Why DSB is offering free Sundays
Charlotte Kjærulff, Customer Director at DSB, says the initiative is designed to remind people that the S-train system runs with high frequency and reliability all year — something some passengers may forget.
“We want to address this by inviting passengers onboard for the rest of the year at a time when most commuters have the day off.” — Charlotte Kjærulff, DSB
