Revealed last year, the Zenvo Aurora is seen in motion for the first time at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Here, the public had the chance to hear the roar of the car’s beating heart — the all-new quad-turbo V12 “Mjølner” — and watch it charge up the legendary Hillclimb in front of thousands of spectators.
The Zenvo Aurora in harlequin camouflage
Dressed in a striking harlequin camouflage livery, the prototype unveiled the final production design of the Tur variant — the more classically styled of the two planned Zenvo Aurora models.
At the presentation ceremony, alongside the Duke of Richmond, was Jens Sverdrup, Chairman of Zenvo Automotive, who officially brought the V12 Mjølner to life — a name that pays tribute to Thor’s hammer in Norse mythology, symbolizing the sheer power of this engine. Shortly afterward, Chief Engineer Javier Castrane took the prototype in front of the historic Goodwood House, giving the audience a first taste of the performance of the new Danish hypercar.
The completely new V12 engine is the result of obsessive development aimed at meeting Aurora’s ambitious performance targets.
Mahle Powertrain played a key role in the birth of the Mjølner engine, serving as Zenvo’s technical partner throughout the entire development process. From construction to fine-tuning, Mahle’s team worked between the UK and Denmark to optimize both performance and reliability.
The technical foundation of the Aurora is the brand-new ZM1 modular monocoque, developed in collaboration with carbon fibre experts Managing Composites. The carbon chassis — along with crash structures and body panels — was designed with no compromises, using cutting-edge technology derived from Formula 1 and aerospace engineering.
