Xpeng continues to expand its footprint across Norway, with dealer group Autostrada confirming plans to open its fifth Xpeng showroom in Sandefjord, located on Pindsle and positioned close to other established car dealers in the area, according to Norwegian trade outlet BilNytt.no.

The move adds to Autostrada’s existing Xpeng presence in Arendal, Porsgrunn, Seljord and Tønsberg. Beyond Xpeng, the group also represents Volvo, Polestar, Mercedes Benz, Kia, Peugeot and Porsche, and holds a 50 percent stake in both Volvo Car Stor Oslo and Zeekr and Polestar dealer Premium Cars Stor Oslo.

Autostrada’s marketing director noted that demand in the Vestfold region has grown strongly enough to justify a dedicated location, pointing to rising interest across Sandefjord and the surrounding area. The company’s commercial director added that local authorities in the region have been supportive of business development, making the expansion straightforward to carry out. In Tønsberg specifically, demand grew so quickly that the existing dealership had to relocate to larger premises shortly after opening.

Vestfold leads the country in Xpeng growth

Figures from Norwegian statistics body OFV show that Xpeng registrations in Vestfold have climbed by 233 percent so far this year compared with the same period last year, the strongest regional growth in the country. Møre og Romsdal follows in second place with growth of 228 percent.

Despite the sharp percentage increase, actual volumes in Vestfold remain modest, with 120 cars registered in the region so far this year. The brand’s strongest markets by volume remain Akershus, where Xpeng holds a 16.4 percent share of total sales, followed by Oslo at 13 percent.

Xpeng targets more than 7000 sales in 2026

Xpeng has become Norway’s seventh largest passenger car brand overall and the top selling Chinese brand in the country, with 3058 registrations so far this year, roughly 200 units ahead of BYD. Registrations are up 66 percent year on year according to OFV data.

The head of Xpeng Motors Norway confirmed the brand’s sales target remains above 7000 vehicles for 2026, though he declined to comment on whether Xpeng would ultimately outsell BYD in Norway this year.

Swedish dealer group Bilia remains Xpeng’s largest partner in Norway, accounting for around 70 percent of total volume and operating the most Xpeng locations, currently at ten. Other dealers carrying the brand include Bil i Nord, Nardo Bil and Ålgårds Auto.

Ambitious expansion plans continue through 2027

Xpeng’s Norwegian leadership has laid out an aggressive rollout strategy, aiming to reach 25 locations across its five partner dealer groups by the end of 2026, with a further five locations planned for 2027.

Earlier this year, Bilia opened new Xpeng outlets in Follo (Ski) and Bergen (Åsane), becoming the brand’s 19th and 20th dealerships nationally. More recently, Bilia was confirmed to be taking over former BMW premises at Åråsen stadium in Lillestrøm for a combined Xpeng and outlet store, following Hedin Automotive’s planned relocation to a new facility nearby in August.

New compact SUV coupe joins the lineup

Xpeng has also introduced a new model to the Norwegian market, the L03, described as a smaller sibling to the brand’s G6. Positioned as a compact and sporty SUV coupe, the L03 measures roughly 15 centimeters shorter than a Tesla Model Y and just over ten centimeters longer than a Toyota C HR+.

Pricing starts under 300000 Norwegian kroner, with the range running from 286000 kroner for the rear wheel drive version up to 416000 kroner for the top spec all wheel drive variant, both before shipping and winter tyres. Xpeng’s Norwegian management sees the model opening up a new customer segment for the brand, with strong expectations for its performance in the market.
