The final race of the weekend at Magny-Cours confirmed Nicolò Bulega‘s dominant grip on the 2026 World Superbike season. The Italian rider claimed his 26th win from 27 races this season, completing his eighth triple of the year after leading from lights to flag.

A lights-to-flag victory extends his title lead

Starting from pole position, Bulega set a pace the rest of the field simply could not match, pulling away from fellow Ducati rider Iker Lecuona from the opening laps and securing the win without ever needing to fight for it in close combat. His championship lead now stands at 146 points, meaning the Italian, already confirmed for a move to the VR46 team, could seal the title as early as the next round in Cremona.

Ducati locks out the top six as a red flag ends the race early

Behind the race winner, the factory Ducati squad celebrated its usual one-two finish, with Lecuona a comfortable second. Ducati made history by filling all of the top six positions in the race, a result helped by a crash for Alex Lowes while he was fighting for a podium spot. Yari Montella took third ahead of Lorenzo Baldassarri, Alberto Surra and Alvaro Bautista, capping off a dominant day for the Bologna manufacturer. The race was stopped two laps early after race officials showed a red flag following a crash involving Thomas Bridewell.
