Polestar has announced a new multi-year partnership with Borussia Dortmund, becoming the official mobility partner of the eight-time German football champions.
The collaboration marks a significant step, especially for the Swedish brand which aims to improve its visibility and its reputation as a sport-oriented company.
A Three-Year Deal for Polestar and Borussia Dortmund
Starting from the 2025/2026 season, Polestar’s logo will appear on the sleeves of Borussia Dortmund’s match jerseys across all major competitions—including the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and UEFA Champions League. The partnership will make its official debut on Sunday 10th september, when BVB faces Juventus in the season opener.

As part of the agreement, Polestar will provide a fleet of 60 electric vehicles to be used by players, management, and staff. The cars are already being deployed during the team’s pre-season training camp in Austria, underlining the club’s and the brand’s shared commitment to sustainability and carbon emissions reduction.
First look at the Polestar 5’s interior
In a promotional video celebrating the partnership, Borussia Dortmund players including Jobe Bellingham, Pascal Groß, and Daniel Svensson were seen test-driving a prototype of the upcoming Polestar 5.

The footage offers the first glimpse at the sleek interior of the new model, which features the brand’s signature minimalist design, a clean horizontal dashboard, and a portrait-oriented central display.
The Polestar 5 is set to be officially unveiled on September 8th at the IAA Mobility show in Munich.
