This gives customers peace of mind, ensuring that the pre-owned Polestar 2 they’re purchasing is in excellent condition and that the battery—often the most expensive component in an EV—is healthy.
Since its debut in 2020, the Polestar 2 has received over 20 over-the-air software updates, demonstrating the company’s commitment to continuous improvement. These updates have delivered enhancements such as smarter battery management, increased efficiency, extended range, and new features including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and access to popular apps like Waze and YouTube. Crucially, these benefits also extend to used models, ensuring that all certified pre-owned Polestar 2 vehicles are equipped with the latest software and features.
To qualify as a certified pre-owned vehicle, each Polestar 2 undergoes a rigorous 112-point inspection at an authorized service center. In addition to the battery certificate, customers receive verified documentation on mileage, service history, and ownership records. Every pre-owned Polestar 2 also comes with a 24-month warranty and any remaining portion of the original 8-year battery warranty.
