The high-riding offering from the Rüsselsheim brand in 2024 is expanding and, in fact, marks the return of a particularly appreciated name from the Nineties: the Opel Frontera.

The car will follow the debut of the second generation of the Opel Grandlan, also expected in 2024, and like it, and like the Peugeot 3008, it will be built on the new STLA Medium platform of the Stellantis group. This suggests that it will be electric, but it will also have electrified internal combustion engine versions.

The first images of the Opel Frontera

The Opel Frontera will be the first model of the German brand with the recently restyled logo. Opel has released the first teaser images showing few details, such as the large and square shape, the orange color, and the same logo.

In any case, we know that being related to the Peugeot 5008, it is not to be excluded that it will have up to seven seats and be longer than 4.6 meters, thus positioning itself where the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe are today, but with a more affordable price.

Opel speaks of a model with a “high level of space and versatility” to attract “both customers with an active lifestyle and families.” Descriptions that allude to a large interior space, as well as a good cargo volume, making the Frontera the new flagship, both in SUV and in general, for the German manufacturer.
