With the OnePlus 15, we already saw an enhanced gaming experience with dedicated features that elsewhere are typically found only in Asus’s ROG lineup. Now, however, the Chinese manufacturer is getting serious and is set to launch a new line of gamer-focused devices called OnePlus Turbo.
The announcement comes directly from Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, who revealed the news on Weibo during the brand’s 12th anniversary celebrations.
According to Li, the new OnePlus Turbo series has a clear and ambitious mission: to “inherit the performance DNA” of OnePlus flagships while pushing it even further. The objective is not just high-end specifications, but leadership in the areas that matter most to gamers—battery life and sustained performance. Li stated that Turbo devices will lead their segment by offering the best battery endurance in their class and delivering an “unprecedented gaming experience.”
The growing strength of OnePlus
This move is closely tied to OnePlus’s strong momentum in its home market. Li revealed that the company is set to close 2025 in China as the fastest-growing smartphone brand, with sales up 40 percent compared to 2024. Building on this success, OnePlus plans to use the Turbo lineup to enter the gaming phone segment more decisively, capitalizing on its growth while helping to accelerate it further.

While OnePlus has not yet shared official specifications, leaks have already outlined a fairly clear picture of what the first OnePlus Turbo smartphone could offer—and the numbers are striking.
The most notable feature is expected to be a huge 8,000 mAh battery, a capacity that would place the device among the most enduring smartphones on the market. This battery is rumored to be paired with 100W wired fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge despite the large capacity.
The display is clearly designed with gaming in mind. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate, ensuring maximum fluidity and responsiveness during fast-paced gameplay.
Flagship performance under the hood
Powering the device should be Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 system-on-chip, aligning perfectly with OnePlus’s promise to push flagship-level performance even further. On the camera side, leaks suggest a dual rear setup consisting of a 50 MP main sensor paired with an 8 MP ultra-wide camera.
If these specifications are confirmed, the OnePlus Turbo series could pose a serious challenge to established gaming smartphones, combining extreme battery life, top-tier performance, and OnePlus’s well-known software and design philosophy. More details are expected in the coming months as OnePlus prepares to make its official entry into the gaming phone arena.
