Norwegian transport group Vy has selected Netcompany as a partner for product development under its new framework agreement for IT consulting services. The deal marks Netcompany’s first agreement with Vy, and its second major contract in the Norwegian transport sector this year, following a partnership with Go-Ahead Norge in March.
An 800 million kroner framework across three areas
Vy, the largest land based transport group in the Nordics with more than 220 million passenger journeys a year, has chosen Netcompany as one of two partners for product development, the largest of three areas covered by the new framework agreement, which carries a maximum total value of up to 800 million kroner over four years.
Netcompany brings extensive experience from the transport sector and will deliver consulting services within product development, taking over a number of tasks previously handled by another supplier.
Geir Arne Olsen, Country Managing Partner at Netcompany Norway, says the company is proud of Vy’s trust and is already contributing to the development of Vy’s digital solutions and services. He describes Netcompany’s ambition as acting as a catalyst for the digital transformation of the rail industry and the transport infrastructure that Norwegian society depends on, adding that the company looks forward to helping build a more modern, connected rail network in Norway, working closely with Vy and the wider rail ecosystem.
Part of a broader push into Nordic transport
For Netcompany, the agreement builds on its growing focus on the transport sector across the Nordics and Europe. The company has previously built an AI powered system for Danish rail operator DSB capable of predicting train delays with 95 percent accuracy within a three minute margin. In March 2026, Netcompany also entered a partnership with rail operator Go-Ahead Norge to strengthen the handling of operational deviations and maintenance through its PULSE platform.
Netcompany also brings experience from the European airport industry into the partnership. The company delivers digital infrastructure for the airports in Copenhagen, Munich and London Heathrow, and serves as strategic digitalisation partner for Avinor in Norway.
