On the occasion of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami, Lotus has unveiled a stunning limited-edition version of its acclaimed Emira sports car. The Lotus Emira Clark Edition is a heartfelt tribute to one of the most iconic drivers in motorsport history—Jim Clark. Meticulously crafted and deeply evocative, this collector’s piece will be produced in just 60 units worldwide, with a starting price of  2,736,000 DKK in Denmark.

Lotus Emira Clark Edition: a legacy carved in speed

The initiative, developed in collaboration with the Jim Clark Trust, pays homage to 1965—a golden year in motorsport and arguably Clark’s finest. That season, the Scottish driver clinched the Formula 1 World Championship with Team Lotus, conquered the Indianapolis 500 in the revolutionary Lotus Type 38, and dominated multiple racing disciplines including Formula 2, the Tasman Series in Australia and New Zealand, and touring car events at the wheel of the legendary Lotus Cortina.

The Emira Clark Edition visually echoes the livery of the Indy 500-winning Lotus Type 38. Its body is finished in Clark Racing Green, enhanced by a contrasting black roof, silver side mirrors, and a bold yellow stripe on the nose. A hand-painted yellow pinstripe runs along the beltline, and each side proudly wears the “Clark Edition” logo styled after 1960s Lotus race cars.

Exclusive exterior touches include a blue-anodized aluminum fuel cap, yellow-painted exhaust tips, and numbered carbon-fiber door sills. Each buyer will also receive a handmade leather bag with bespoke details, making the car not just a driving experience, but a piece of automotive art.

Inside, the Emira Clark Edition brings history to life. The sport seats are asymmetrically styled—red Alcantara and leather for the driver, black for the passenger—reflecting the interiors of Clark’s 1965 race cars. A wooden gear knob and tartan stitching reinforce the vintage vibe, while Jim Clark’s signature on the dashboard and “Team Lotus” accents round out the authentic atmosphere.

Based on the V6 version of the Emira, this edition houses a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine delivering 405 hp, mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. It comes with the Lotus Driver’s Pack, which includes sport suspension, Track mode, and a more aggressive exhaust note. True to Lotus tradition, it features hydraulic steering, offering a purity of feedback that’s increasingly rare in today’s digital age.
