Kia has released the first teaser images and a video of the Kia PV7, the brand’s second dedicated, fully electric Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) model, ahead of its global premiere at IAA Transportation in Hannover in September.
Expanding into light commercial vehicles
With the PV7, Kia extends its PBV programme into the light commercial vehicle segment. The model offers more space and greater capacity than the PV5, aimed at meeting the evolving needs of business customers across an even wider range of professional sectors and use cases.
The teaser images show the PV7 in a series of everyday scenarios, illustrating the model’s versatility across different settings. Its distinctive one box profile combines balanced proportions with a robust, confident look, while the black bonnet and black detailing around the pillars create a clear contrast with the body colour. Together with Kia’s signature front and rear light graphics, these elements reinforce the design language that defines Kia’s PBV models.
Built on the dedicated E-GMP.S platform
The PV7 builds on Kia’s extensive experience with electric vehicles and is based on the dedicated E-GMP.S platform. It follows the successful introduction of the PV5, making it the brand’s second dedicated PBV model.
As a central part of Kia’s PBV strategy, the PV7 and future variants are set to further expand the PBV programme and strengthen Kia’s range of mobility solutions.
World premiere in Hannover on 14 September
The Kia PV7 will have its world premiere at IAA Transportation in Hannover on 14 September 2026, an event regarded as the world’s leading exhibition for commercial vehicles. Kia will also present a number of PV5 variants at the show, demonstrating the scalability of its PBV strategy and its continued expansion into further segments.
