A new trailer for Hot Wheels Infinite Rush has landed, and this time the focus is squarely on campaign progression and just how deep the game’s customization options actually run. Developer Milestone, working alongside Mattel, is inviting players to explore four separate islands, work through a wide range of activities, and shape the experience around their own preferred playstyle.

This is the second episode of the game’s Beyond The Tracker series, and it goes considerably deeper into gameplay and customization than the first. Episode one focused on walking through each of the game’s maps individually, while this latest instalment shifts attention to the tools players will actually use to make the adventure feel like their own.
Four vehicle classes and the Rush Squad System
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is built around four distinct vehicle classes, and players can switch between them on the fly to gain an edge depending on the situation. Drifters are built for mastering corners and recharging boost through drifting, Speeders dominate long straights with speed and boost regeneration that builds over time, Titans bring serious power paired with their own unique boost management mechanics, and Versatiles round things out as balanced all rounders capable of handling pretty much any challenge thrown at them.
Switching between classes mid race runs through what the game calls the Rush Squad System. Before heading out, players assemble a four vehicle team made up of exactly one vehicle from each class, and once that squad is set, they’re free to switch between those four vehicles at any point during gameplay. All four islands also come packed with free roam activities, including sky jumping between islands as a way to unlock new areas and additional challenges.
Becoming the Rush Master through customization
The campaign itself centres on defeating rival crews on the way to becoming the game’s top ranked Rush Master. Customization runs through dedicated sticker and livery editors, giving players control over decals, wheels, boost visual effects, and even the sound effects tied to boosting and dashing, among other elements.
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush release date and early access
Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is set to release on 10 September 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition will get a head start, with early access opening on 7 September, three days ahead of the game’s full launch.
