Milestone, the racing game studio behind titles including MotoGP and Ride, has teamed up with Mattel to launch Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, ROG Xbox Ally, ROG Xbox Ally X, and PC through Steam, the Microsoft Store and the Epic Games Store.

Beyond the orange track

Infinite Rush takes the Hot Wheels brand well past its familiar orange plastic tracks, dropping players into a toy scale open world built around exploration and high speed racing. Rather than following a fixed campaign, players race, explore, collect, customise and build their way across four connected islands packed with races and free roam activities.

Each island brings its own visual identity and mix of challenges: the busy streets of Wheelswood, the industrial canyons of Gearville, the natural landscapes of Tentacle Bay, and the neon lit alleys of Drifty Temples. Players can sky jump freely between environments as they unlock new areas and events, setting their own pace through the game rather than following a linear route.

Over 150 cars at launch

The game launches with more than 150 vehicles, spanning classic Hot Wheels Originals alongside cars from well known real world automotive brands. Garages grow by completing races, taking on special events, and beating rival racing crews scattered across the islands, all in pursuit of the game’s Rush Master title.

Cars are split into four classes, Drifters, Speeders, Titans and Versatiles, each with distinct handling characteristics and a perk system that shapes performance and playstyle, encouraging players to experiment with different setups. Players can assemble a four car Rush Squad covering all four classes, then instantly swap between them with a quick switch button while exploring, so there’s always the right car on hand for whatever comes up.

Deep customisation, and a full track builder

Customisation runs deep, with sticker and livery editors covering everything from wheel designs to boost visual effects and custom boost and dash sound effects.

Creativity isn’t limited to the garage either. The Track Builder lets players design their own routes woven directly into the game world, using an adaptive ground snapping system that lets track pieces follow the terrain naturally. Action markers can also be placed to control how AI opponents behave on a given track, including racing lines, acceleration and braking points. Player made tracks can be shared across supported platforms, opening up an ongoing stream of community made content to race and compete on.

Multiplayer, local and online

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush supports full cross-play for online competition, alongside local split-screen for up to four players, giving players several ways to compete through ranked modes, leaderboards and asynchronous challenges.
