Super Woden Rally Edge finally has a confirmed console release date. The driving game from developer ViJuDa launches digitally on September 2 for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, with physical editions for PS5 and Switch following a few weeks later on October 30, and those boxed copies bring a lot more with them than just Rally Edge on its own.
Super Woden Rally Edge release date confirmed after months of waiting
Console versions of the game had already been confirmed earlier this year, but an exact date remained a mystery until now. Back in February, ViJuDa revealed that an external team would handle the console port and publishing, initially targeting a summer release, before Eastasiasoft later confirmed the title as part of its own upcoming console lineup. That timeline has now firmed up into two concrete dates: digital on September 2, boxed copies on October 30 for anyone who prefers a physical release.
Super Woden physical edition bundles the whole trilogy
For anyone who’s followed the series since the start, the physical release is arguably the more interesting part of this announcement. The PS5 and Nintendo Switch editions won’t just include Rally Edge on its own. The package bundles together Super Woden GP, Super Woden GP 2, Super Woden: Rally Edge, and the soundtracks from all three games, effectively turning the physical release into a full collection of the current Super Woden series.

The first two games had already been bundled together for Nintendo Switch as the Super Woden GP Collection back in 2024, but folding in Rally Edge and all three soundtracks makes this a considerably more complete package, and a genuinely appealing one for collectors. Super Woden started life as a fairly small independent project and has steadily built its own following around arcade driving, car culture, and a visual style that leans heavily on 1990s racing games.
Rally Edge shifts the series away from its isometric roots
Despite sharing its name and a lot of its identity with Super Woden GP and GP 2, Rally Edge isn’t simply the same game with a bigger car list. The traditional isometric camera is gone entirely, replaced with a behind the car perspective, and rally stages along with time trials play a much bigger role in how the game is structured.

Plenty of familiar Super Woden systems carry over regardless, including buying and upgrading cars, managing a garage, vehicle customisation, a map based event structure, and online leaderboards, alongside local multiplayer for up to four players. The handling stays firmly arcade focused rather than chasing serious rally simulation, and the cars remain fictional rather than officially licensed, but the progression and car collecting side of things will feel immediately familiar to anyone who’s played ViJuDa’s earlier titles.
Rally Edge originally launched on PC back on 15 January 2026, and has held up well since, with around 96 percent of more than 1,400 Steam reviews currently rated positive.
From a PC exclusive to a full trilogy on every platform
When Rally Edge first arrived on PC in January, console versions were still very much in early planning. ViJuDa confirmed a few weeks later that the game would follow its predecessors onto PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo hardware eventually, and now there’s an exact timeline to go with that promise.
For players who already own Rally Edge on PC, the console launch doesn’t really change anything. But for anyone who’s followed the series on console, or who simply wants a physical copy on the shelf, the October edition offers a genuinely convenient way to pick up the entire Super Woden lineup in one go.
