Clever has opened a new fast charging station in Galten, with 24 fast charging points, in East Jutland. The site is located between Aarhus and Silkeborg and is aimed at EV drivers who travel in the area or continue through the region.
Location and access
The station is at Erhvervsparken Klank 15 in Galten, next to the Silkeborg motorway (route 15). It takes under 10 minutes by car from the E45, which makes it a practical detour for drivers on the main north south corridor.
Drivers need roughly 25 minutes to reach Aarhus and 20 minutes to reach Silkeborg, so the station works both for local users and for those passing through Jutland.
Ready for 12 more charging points
Clever has already planned for growth. The site is prepared for 12 additional fast charging points, so capacity can be expanded as the number of electric cars on Danish roads increases.
Designed for the charging break
The station is meant to be more than a place to plug in. Visitors can walk along paths or sit on a bench in green surroundings while the car charges.
Clever has also designed its own toilets for the site. Five toilets are expected to open during December, after which the planting will be completed to give the area a greener look.
Clever’s view
Jannick Ekelund Kristensen, who is responsible for project development and engineering at Clever, said the Galten station strengthens what the company describes as the largest charging network in Denmark. According to him, good locations and charging options where people actually travel are essential to making life easier for EV drivers across the country.
He added that a good charging stop is about more than the charge itself. It should also be a pleasant place to pause, and he summed up the approach by saying that the stations are built for cars but designed for people.
