While the 7X debuts in Europe (which we were among the first to test, click here to read our review), the Chinese manufacturer has unveiled the design of the Zeekr 9X.
Unlike the 7X, however, it’s unlikely that this model will become part of the European lineup, which will instead be expanded during the year with the addition of the 7GT shooting brake. The Zeekr 9X is the brand’s second SUV, boasting large dimensions, seven seats, and a design reminiscent of the Zeekr 009 MPV.
The “slightly Rolls” design of the Zeekr 9X
Forget the Hidden Energy design philosophy seen on the 007, 7X, and 7GT, developed by Stefan Sielaff in Sweden. This model clearly originates in China and is designed for the Chinese market. In several ways, it picks up some stylistic elements from the 009.

Particularly the front end, with its huge chrome grille featuring vertical slats, very similar to the one on the 009 and vaguely reminiscent of a Rolls-Royce. The headlight design is more unique, with horizontally spread LED daytime running lights, and main light clusters shaped like squares.

The rear is decidedly more original and modern. Its layout somewhat echoes the Volvo EX90, though without the LEDs framing the slanted rear window. The rest of the light clusters, however, have almost the same structure but with a very sophisticated choice of LEDs that are diffused, creating a beautiful three-dimensional effect.

The spoiler on the rear window is also interesting, featuring one of the vehicle’s many cameras.

From the side, chrome reigns supreme. Notably, the trim around the windows becomes particularly thick at the third pillar, emphasizing a sense of luxury — once again, more aligned with Chinese tastes than European ones. The wheels are also chrome-plated and are perhaps the design element most inspired by Rolls-Royce.
The first Hybrid Zeekr
This is the firs Zeekr model not fully electric, and based on the Super Hybrid system.
