Polestar has announced a new winter test-driving initiative in Åre that combines vehicle demonstrations with a winter golf course. The experience, called Drive below zero, is designed to allow visitors to test Polestar’s winter driving performance while playing a short golf course in the snow.

The project is scheduled to run during the Swedish winter school holiday weeks, and visitors will be able to drive Polestar models in a controlled winter environment. The brand says the experience highlights the performance of its vehicles in low temperatures and on snow- and ice-covered roads.

Drive below zero experience

The winter golf course is located in Åre and will include three holes. Participants will be able to test the Polestar 3 SUV while playing the course. The experience can be booked through Polestar’s website or on-site at Parkvägen 1 in Åre, and the number of available slots is limited.

Polestar’s winter testing history

Polestar develops and tests its vehicles in Sweden, including winter testing in Jokkmokk and Arjeplog. The company says the cold conditions are used to fine-tune systems and driving characteristics, focusing on control and stability.

Design and sustainability

Polestar describes the winter golf course as a temporary installation inspired by Scandinavian design. The course is intended to be minimalistic and to blend with the natural surroundings.

The company also says the project is part of its sustainability efforts, aiming to show how experiences can be created with limited impact on the environment. The temporary course has been adapted to the location, according to Polestar.
