The MG Cyberster has quickly established itself as a standout player in Denmark’s cabriolet segment, proving that open-top driving and electric mobility can successfully coexist. Launched at the end of 2024, the fully electric roadster completed its first full year on the Danish market in 2025 with results that place it firmly at the top of its category. And we can understand why: read our test drive here.
During 2025, 100 units of the MG Cyberster were sold in Denmark. This figure represents 38% of the total cabriolet market, which is now overwhelmingly electrified, with battery-electric vehicles accounting for 96% of sales. The Cyberster not only leads among electric convertibles, but outperforms all other cabriolets regardless of powertrain. The second-best-selling model in the segment reached 31 units, highlighting the scale of the Cyberster’s market impact.
A striking electric roadster
The Cyberster positions itself as a flagship model for MG, designed to attract attention both visually and dynamically. Its proportions follow classic roadster cues, reinterpreted through a contemporary electric design language. Key visual elements include scissor doors and a fully electric soft top that can be opened or closed in 15 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h. The design was developed by Carl Gotham and MG’s London-based design team, blending heritage-inspired form with modern detailing.
Two versions, distinct characters
MG offers the Cyberster in two specifications in Denmark, each targeting a different interpretation of electric performance driving:
- Cyberster Trophy starts at DKK 499,999 and features a rear-wheel-drive setup producing 340 hp (250 kW) and 475 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.0 seconds.
- Cyberster GT, priced from DKK 549,999, is the most powerful production MG to date. With a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system delivering 510 hp (375 kW) and 725 Nm, it reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3.2 seconds.
Both variants include four driving modes—Comfort, Custom, Sport and Super Sport—allowing the driver to adjust the car’s character from relaxed grand tourer to focused sports car. As with the rest of MG’s lineup, the Cyberster is covered by a 7-year or 150,000 km warranty.
Grand touring, electrified
Powering the Cyberster is a 77 kWh battery, balancing performance with long-distance usability. The Trophy version offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 507 km, while the higher-performance GT achieves up to 443 km. DC fast charging at up to 144 kW enables a 10–80% recharge in approximately 38 minutes, supporting both daily use and longer journeys.

Inside, the cabin combines comfort with a strong technological focus. Standard equipment includes electrically adjustable and heated seats with memory function, a heated steering wheel, paddle shifters for regenerative braking control, and a distinctive three-screen cockpit layout. A Bose sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a 360-degree camera system are all included as standard, alongside MG Pilot driver assistance systems aimed at proactive safety.
For open-top driving, a specially designed wind deflector positioned between the seats significantly reduces turbulence, making the Cyberster suitable for extended motorway and touring use with the roof down.
Tuned for European roads
The Cyberster underwent an 18-month development programme in the United Kingdom, led by MG’s engineering team in Longbridge. The focus was on delivering a chassis setup suited to European driving conditions, combining everyday refinement with engaging handling on winding roads.
Performance-oriented hardware supports this approach, including Brembo braking systems, three levels of regenerative braking, and model-specific wheel and tyre setups. The Trophy rides on 19-inch wheels, while the GT is equipped with 20-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
