Of all the cars we have seen at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, the Lynk & Co 07 GT is our favourite. In a week dominated by retro concepts and tributes to the past, Lynk & Co brought a sleek, modern estate car that looks like nothing else on the show floor, and it is not a concept. The 07 GT made its European debut in Paris, at the brand’s first appearance at the show.
A wagon that looks forward
The 07 GT is the brand’s first estate, a wagon version of the 07 saloon sold in China. It was designed by Lynk & Co’s teams in China and Europe, and it carries the design language first seen on the The Next Day concept. Low and wide, at 4.85 metres long and less than 1.5 metres tall, it combines the practicality of a family estate with the stance of a sports car.

That is exactly why it stood out for us. When we wrote that Europe’s car makers seem stuck remaking their greatest hits, we pointed to Lynk & Co as one of the brands that is developing a style of its own. The 07 GT proves it: it does not borrow from anyone’s past, and it still manages to be beautiful.
Plug-in hybrid with serious performance
Under the skin, the 07 GT uses Lynk & Co’s EM-P plug-in hybrid technology, combining a 1.5-litre turbo engine, electric motors and a three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. In China, the front-wheel-drive version delivers 402 hp and reaches 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, while the all-wheel-drive version has 523 hp and does it in about four seconds.

All versions use a 28.3 kWh LFP battery with up to 200 km of electric range on the Chinese CLTC cycle. The all-wheel-drive version also gets magnetorheological suspension and an optional sport package with a carbon fibre rear wing. European specifications and WLTP figures have not yet been announced.

Volvo takes over in Europe
The 07 GT was not the only news. At its press conference, Lynk & Co’s top management, including Mo Wang, CEO of Lynk & Co International, and design chief Stefan Rosén, announced that Volvo Cars will become the exclusive distributor of Lynk & Co in Europe from 2027. The brand also highlighted its EM-P hybrid technology and its strong Euro NCAP safety ratings.
For Nordic buyers, the Volvo deal matters. Volvo has one of the strongest dealer and service networks in Scandinavia, and putting Lynk & Co inside it could give the brand a much larger reach and the kind of trust that premium buyers look for.
The full range in Hall 5.1
