Subaru Trailseeker is the second electric model of the Japanese adventure brand, following the Solterra.
Unveiled in the last days, it will debut in the US first, and then will probably come also to Europe.
Subaru Trailseeker: bigger, Faster, and more practical
The new Trailseeker builds upon the design and technology of the Solterra but offers more space and performance. It’s 15 cm longer and 2.5 cm taller than the Solterra, placing it in the larger SUV segment. Beneath the floor lies a 74.7 kWh battery, which, according to Subaru, provides over 418 kilometers of range on a single charge. Charging is done via the NACS plug (North American Charging Standard), but charging times and other charging data have yet to be announced.

With 375 hp and 0-100 km/h in approximately 4.4 seconds, the Trailseeker is equipped with two electric motors delivering a combined output of around 375 hp (280 kW) and all-wheel drive. This makes it the fastest-accelerating Subaru ever, with a 0-100 km/h time of about 4.4 seconds. For comparison, the fastest WRX achieves this in 5.6 seconds. The model boasts a ground clearance of 211 mm and a towing capacity of 1,590 kg, making it suitable for both leisure and family use.S
Not Expected in Europe?
Inside, the Trailseeker is clearly inspired by the Solterra but receives an upgrade with a 14″ infotainment screen—the largest Subaru has ever installed in a vehicle. Additionally, there are two wireless charging pads for smartphones and an infotainment system expected to support both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Trailseeker is equipped with Subaru’s X-Mode terrain program, which includes settings for snow, mud, and loose surfaces, as well as assistance systems like Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control.

Subaru has yet to release information regarding the Trailseeker’s price, charging speeds, or whether the model will be launched in Europe.
