Maserati is executing a strategic product refresh aimed at strengthening its position in the luxury automotive segment, with new iterations of its core model range showcasing evolved design, enhanced performance, and expanded electrification options. The Trident marque presented updated versions of the GranTurismo, GranCabrio, and Grecale, each representing a significant step in the brand’s contemporary interpretation of luxury.
Santo Ficili, head of the Maserati brand, emphasized the company’s commitment to distinctive luxury development during the presentation. “For over 112 years we have interpreted contemporary luxury in a distinctive way,“ he stated, outlining the brand’s vision to expand its product offering while investing in technologies that define its character, from the development of the iconic V6 Nettuno engine to the evolution of the Folgore electric performance range.
The new GranTurismo and GranCabrio
Both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio feature completely redesigned front fascias paired with new rear lighting systems. The interiors have received particular attention, with refined materials and four genuine full size seats confirming the models’ standing as authentic grand tourers while maintaining sports car level performance.

Technical improvements across both vehicles include standard all wheel drive and pneumatic suspension with adjustable ride height and damping characteristics. These systems enable drivers to optimize comfort for long distance cruising or sharpen handling for spirited driving.

The lineup now offers three distinct power options. The base version produces 490 horsepower, while the Trofeo variant delivers 590 horsepower. The Folgore electric variant marks the entry into zero emissions performance, generating 760 horsepower. The GranTurismo Folgore achieves a top speed of 325 kilometers per hour, while the GranCabrio Folgore, the first full electric convertible in its class, reaches 290 kilometers per hour, establishing itself as the fastest electric cabriolet available today.
The Grecale SUV evolution
The Grecale, Maserati’s luxury SUV originally introduced in 2022, undergoes significant technical and aesthetic refinements. The front end adopts a more horizontal orientation with a distinctive shark nose bumper design. Inside, the new octagonal leather trimmed steering wheel presents an updated control interface reflecting the brand’s contemporary design direction.

The Grecale now spans six distinct variants covering a complete powertrain spectrum. The range includes a 390 horsepower V6 gasoline engine and a 530 horsepower V6 performance variant. Mid range efficiency comes from the 4 cylinder mild hybrid engine in 250, 300, or 330 horsepower configurations. The Folgore electric version offers 550 horsepower via a 400 Volt electric system.

This powertrain diversity allows customers to choose between traditional performance, hybrid efficiency, or pure electric capability depending on their priorities and market requirements.
A forward looking strategy
These three models represent Maserati’s immediate product priority, but the brand has outlined its long term direction. According to Ficili, Maserati plans to return to the E segment with two newly developed models: successor vehicles to the Quattroporte sedan and Levante SUV. These future flagships will define the upper tier of the brand’s portfolio and signal Maserati’s commitment to maintaining presence across the complete luxury vehicle spectrum.
