Google has officially introduced the Google Pixel 10 series: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Visually the new range continues the design language introduced with last year’s Pixel 9 line, but the most important updates are internal — most notably the new Tensor G5 chipset, manufactured for the first time by TSMC.

Google Pixel: evolution, not revolution

Google’s approach with Pixel 10 is refinement. Android 16 ships natively, Google promises seven years of major updates plus Pixel Drops and security patches, and the updated Material 3 “Expressive” UI arrives out of the box. Those platform improvements are paired with hardware changes aimed at improving performance, battery life and AI capabilities.

The whole Pixel 10 line leans heavily on on-device and cloud AI via Gemini Nano to simplify photography, productivity and everyday tasks. Gemini Live enables conversational voice interaction; users can delete chat and saved content inside Gemini to protect privacy.

Buyers of Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL receive one year of Google AI Pro, which includes Gemini Pro, NotebookLM and advanced AI tools such as Veo 3 Fast.

AI also assists photography with a new Camera Coach that evaluates framing, angle and lighting in real time. Other photo features include Auto Best Take (merging similar shots into the best image), Add Me, Macro Focus and a host of editing tools integrated into Pixel Studio and Photos (Ask Photos, Reimagine, Sky Styles, Magic Eraser and more).

Pixelsnap: magnetic accessories and new wireless charging

A headline hardware novelty is Pixelsnap — a magnetic system that secures chargers and accessories (including through compatible PixelSnap cases). Wireless charging support includes Qi2 chargers up to 25W and a detachable PixelSnap charger accessory. On the wired side, fast USB-C charging is supported across the range.

Under the hood the Tensor G5 brings a notable performance uplift: Google cites an average CPU speed increase of around 34% vs. the prior generation (G4). Google worked with DeepMind to run an optimized version of Gemini Nano on Tensor G5, enabling features like Magic Cue, contextual prompts that surface relevant information from apps such as Messages and Gmail while you’re on a related call or task.

Top-tier hardware: Pixel 10 Pro & Pro XL

The Pixel 10 Pro (6.3″) and Pixel 10 Pro XL (6.8″) are offered in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone and Jade. Both pack 16GB of RAM, an upgraded triple Pro camera system with improved zoom capabilities, high-res portraits and enhanced video stabilization. Displays are Super Actua panels with up to 3,300 nits peak brightness and build durability improvements over the Pixel 8 Pro.
