Omoda & Jaecoo, the export-focused brands of China’s Chery group, used the 2026 Paris Motor Show to expand their European line-up with two crossovers aimed at very different buyers. The compact Omoda 4 made its French debut, while the restyled Omoda 5 Next was shown to the European public for the first time.
The two cars sit on a stand in Hall 4 alongside the larger Omoda 7 and the Jaecoo range, under the slogan “Drive the new vibe”.
Omoda 4: a gaming cockpit on wheels
The Omoda 4 is aimed squarely at younger, digital-native drivers. Its “Cyber Mecha” design features slim headlights, an LED strip across the full width of the front and a fastback rear.

Inside, the focus is on technology and entertainment. A 13.2-inch touchscreen runs an infotainment system with more than 20 built-in games and a dedicated controller, turning the cabin into what Omoda calls a “mobile gaming cockpit” when the car is parked. A karaoke system and multi-colour ambient lighting add to the party mood, while the voice assistant is based on a large language model that, according to the brand, learns the user’s habits and even recognises their mood.
On the practical side, the Omoda 4 offers 19 driver assistance functions, including an automatic parking system that can also be controlled remotely from outside the car. With the rear seats folded, the boot holds up to 1,126 litres. Omoda did not specify the powertrain in its Paris announcement.
Omoda 5 Next: more comfort, new face
The Omoda 5 Next is a major update of the existing Omoda 5. It gets a completely new, sloping front end, lightning-bolt-shaped lights front and rear, and a robot-inspired rear design, while the coupé-like profile remains.

The biggest changes are inside. According to Omoda, the 5 Next is the only car in its segment with seats that combine heating, ventilation and massage. There is a 15.6-inch, 2K central screen, an eight-speaker Sony sound system with subwoofer, extra sound insulation with acoustic glass, and even a fragrance diffuser and karaoke system.

Power comes from the SHS-H Super Hybrid full hybrid system. Safety equipment includes a 540-degree camera system, seven airbags and more than 20 driver assistance systems.
