Not only the Chinese draw inspiration from European cars, but the Russians do too. And in the country, the luxury car market seems to be experiencing a very prosperous era with the abundance of models, starting from the Aurus Senat, a luxury flagship that closely resembles a Rolls-Royce. Like all cars from the Russian brand, the Senat is named after one of the towers of the Kremlin, just like the Komendant SUV and the Arsenal minivan, coming in 2024.

Launched in 2022 exclusively for Russian institutions, as the brand is state-owned, it is now available to everyone from this year but with a price doubled compared to the launch. In Russia, it starts from 41.05 million rubles, equivalent to €419,232 or 3,13 millions DKK, and there is also a more expensive trim that requires 440,000 rubles (€4,493 or 33.489 DKK) more.

Aurus Senat, an hybrid luxury car with 598 HP

Aurus Senat is hybrid and develops 598 HP Looking at the design, the car seems like a mix between a Rolls-Royce and also a second-generation Chrysler 300. We particularly notice an imposing and squared-off front end, with a large grille with vertical slats and rectangular LED headlights.

Behind and in the wheels, the similarities are even more evident. The tail is quite short, and the rear light clusters are practically identical, also featuring the same LED pattern inside. The logo, on the other hand, from a distance resembles that of Lancia. The colors offered are always dark, particularly in black or burgundy.

The interiors are light and bright, somewhat reminiscent of the 1990s style due to the type of woodwork that appears on door panels, dashboard, and central tunnel. The rest of the trimmings are in well-matched beige leather to the light wood, while modernity is provided by the continuous display that occupies the entire top of the dashboard.

However, the engine will always be the same, a hybrid one with a whopping 598 HP with standard all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
