Xpeng has confirmed that its new G9L will make its European debut at the Mondial de l’Auto in Paris this October, timed to coincide with the reveal of the car’s first images in China today.
Positioned as the flagship of the G9 family, the G9L, with the L standing for Luxury, pushes the brand’s smart mobility approach further, taking its idea of luxury up another notch.
Xpeng G9L builds on the brand’s existing tech and safety pillars
Rather than starting from scratch, the G9L inherits the technology, safety and build quality that already define Xpeng as a brand, refining them further with the stated goal of making the company’s latest AI driven innovations more accessible to European buyers. Safety has been part of the plan from early in development, with the G9L engineered from the outset to meet the strict requirements of Euro NCAP, C-NCAP and ANCAP crash test protocols, ahead of a rollout across 65 international markets, including China.
Xpeng G9L Europe line-up includes a six seat configuration
European audiences will get their first real world look at the car in Paris, where Xpeng plans to show the versions built specifically for the European market, including an exclusive six seat configuration. As Xpeng continues building out its wider Physical AI mobility ecosystem, the G9L is designed to bring the company’s most advanced innovations closer to everyday driving rather than keeping them as a showcase feature.
Full details expected at the Paris Motor Show
Xpeng says it will use the Paris Motor Show to reveal the complete picture around the European version of the G9L, covering technical specifications, market specific configurations, powertrain options, the capabilities of its Next Generation Pilot (NGP) driver assistance system, onboard smart technology, pricing, and the timeline for launch and availability across Europe.
