The Tesla Model Y is back on top in Scandinavia, as it has taken the top spot as Denmark’s best‑selling car.

With 1,955 new registrations in September, the Model Y accounted for more than one in every ten newly registered cars last month, according to figures from bilstatistik.dk.

Strong demand backed by targeted campaigns

Demand for the Model Y remains high following Tesla’s recent design update earlier this year, which emphasized comfort and a competitive price. The updated Model Y offers a WLTP range of up to 622 km, and despite all the problems the Company had in Europe in the last months, is still one of the best choices in terms of performance, range and value for money.

Gigafactory Berlin‑Brandenburg: the production backbone

Much of the supply originated from Tesla’s Gigafactory Berlin‑Brandenburg, the company’s largest European production facility. The Berlin plant produces vehicles and battery cells at scale, and its quarterly production cycle often leads to a concentration of deliveries — and thus registrations — in the final month of each quarter.

Looking ahead, Tesla Denmark has indicated further campaign activity in the coming quarter, including opportunities for customers to trade in vehicles of any brand when purchasing a new Tesla. With strong demand, production support from Berlin, and strategic incentives, Tesla appears well positioned to maintain momentum in the Danish EV market.
