Spider-Man: Brand New Day opened in Danish and Scandinavian cinemas on 29 July 2026, ahead of its wider global release on 31 July. Alongside Tom Holland’s return as Peter Parker, the film brings a genuinely interesting line-up of vehicles to the screen, anchored by a major partnership between BMW and Sony/Marvel, alongside a handful of law enforcement vehicles spotted during production.

BMW iX3 Neue Klasse
The BMW iX3, the first model built on BMW’s new Neue Klasse platform, plays a genuine role in the film rather than appearing as a simple background cameo. BMW has described the vehicle as woven directly into the plot, giving the brand’s newest generation of cars a direct link to one of the biggest franchises in cinema.
A one-off BMW iX3 Flow with a Spider-Man skin
To mark the premiere, BMW unveiled a genuine one-off vehicle, the BMW iX3 Flow – Spider-Man Brand New Day, built in close collaboration with Sony and Marvel. Its exterior uses full-colour E Ink Prism panels to display dynamic, animated graphics inspired by Spider-Man’s movement and visual world, effectively turning the car itself into a piece of the film’s universe. After its debut, the car will stay on public display at BMW Welt in Munich until September.
BMW 5 Series Sedan
Alongside the iX3, the BMW 5 Series Sedan also plays a role in the film, putting a spotlight on technology such as the BMW Panoramic Display, driver assistance systems, a panoramic glass sunroof and the driving dynamics of Sport Mode. Between the two cars, BMW gets to showcase both its electric future and its more traditional sedan lineup within the same film.
An exclusive Spider-Man animation for real BMW owners
The tie-in extends beyond the screen. From the film’s premiere until 10 August, BMW owners in more than 70 countries can unlock a special Spider-Man animation on their car’s Control Display, provided their vehicle runs BMW Operating System 7, 8, 8.5, 9 or Operating System X and was built after July 2020. Starting the car brings up a banner that, once tapped, triggers a full screen animation complete with music and a matching light show from the ambient lighting system.
The Punisher’s Battle Van joins the cast of vehicles
Beyond the official BMW partnership, set photos that circulated during filming pointed to another notable vehicle joining the film: a customised Battle Van tied to The Punisher. Described by those who spotted it as a matte black van, the vehicle carries the character’s signature skull logo on the front bonnet and a heavy duty bullbar up front.
A custom roof rack completes the look, built to carry spare tubing and tactical equipment, very much in keeping with the character’s improvised, combat ready aesthetic.
Dodge Charger Pursuit and Ford Police Interceptor Utility bring law enforcement to the screen
Rounding out the vehicle line-up are two familiar names from American police fleets.
A Dodge Charger Pursuit, the four door sedan widely used by U.S. law enforcement, appears in the film, recognisable by its continuous ring shaped LED tail lights, a design that has defined the Charger’s rear end since its 2015 refresh, paired here with its V8 Hemi power. Alongside it, a Ford Police Interceptor Utility, the SUV built on the Ford Explorer platform, also features, giving the film’s law enforcement presence a mix of sedan and SUV silhouettes typical of real world American police fleets.
A new chapter for both BMW and Spider-Man
Set four years after the events of No Way Home, Brand New Day follows Peter Parker adjusting to life having been voluntarily erased from the memories of everyone he loves, still fighting crime in a city that no longer recognises him, all while a dangerous mutation and a mysterious new threat complicate matters further. The film was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with a cast that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
