Škoda has unveiled its most ambitious electric car to date. The new Škoda Peaq becomes the brand’s electric flagship, taking over from the combustion-powered Kodiaq. It is also the first seven-seat electric model in Škoda’s history.
Up to 634 km of range
The Peaq is built on the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB+ platform, an evolution of the one used on models such as Škoda Enyaq, Volkswagen ID.7 and Volkswagen ID. Buzz but with more efficiency and charging capacity.
All versions come with either a 59 kWh or a larger 86 kWh battery, the latter being the biggest ever fitted in a Škoda. Three powertrains are available:
- Peaq 60: rear-wheel drive, 204 hp
- Peaq 90: rear-wheel drive, 286 hp
- Peaq 90x: all-wheel drive, 300 hp
The top model accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.
The headline figure is range. Škoda claims up to 630–634 km (WLTP) for the rear-wheel-drive version with the 86 kWh battery. Fast charging peaks at up to 199 kW (160 kW for the smaller battery), allowing a 10–80% charge in around 28 minutes under optimal conditions.
The Peaq also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), enabling the battery to power external devices such as camping equipment, e-bikes or laptops.
All-new infotainment system
Inside, the Peaq introduces the most advanced infotainment system ever seen in a Škoda production car. The centrepiece is a new 13.6-inch vertical touchscreen – the largest display ever fitted in a Škoda.
It runs on an Android-based operating system and is paired with a 10-inch digital driver display. Built-in services include Google Maps, Spotify and YouTube, along with dedicated Škoda apps.
A digital key system is also available, allowing a smartphone or smartwatch to replace the traditional key.
From the Selection trim upwards, equipment levels are already generous, while higher trims add premium features such as:
- Matrix LED headlights
- 360-degree camera system
- Remote parking functions
- Advanced automated parking, including learned parking manoeuvres
Interior materials range from artificial leather to full leather, depending on specification.
The SportLine variant adds a more dynamic look with sport seats, larger wheels, black exterior detailing and adaptive DCC suspension for adjustable driving characteristics.
Practicality and “Simply Clever” features
Practicality remains a core strength for Škoda. With all seven seats in use, the boot offers 299 litres of space. Folding the third row increases capacity to 890 litres, while folding both rear rows expands it to 2,075 litres.
There is also a 37-litre storage compartment under the front bonnet, ideal for charging cables and smaller items.

Market launch
Škoda has confirmed that the Peaq can be ordered now and is expected to arrive at dealerships in October.
The Škoda Peaq will compete in a rapidly growing segment against models such as Peugeot e-5008 and Tesla Model Y.
