Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly central role in the TV experience, and Samsung is now bringing it directly to viewers through an entirely new format. The company has announced the launch of its first AI-powered television channel, All-In-One AI, designed to remaster older content and present it in 4K quality.

The new channel  has debuted on Samsung TV Plus in South Korea and represents a significant shift in how legacy television series can be rediscovered. Rather than limiting AI to background features or image settings, Samsung is using it as the foundation of a full channel dedicated to revitalizing shows originally produced in SD or HD.

AI upscaling brings older series into the 4K Era

At the core of the project is an AI-based upscaling system that converts lower-resolution material into 4K. This process goes well beyond simple image enlargement. Samsung’s algorithms actively reduce visual noise, improve color accuracy and reconstruct fine details, delivering a sharper and more modern image while preserving the original artistic intent.

The visual upgrade is paired with AI-driven audio enhancement, an element often overlooked in older television productions. The system separates dialogue from background sounds, improves vocal clarity and reinforces low frequencies, resulting in more natural and intelligible speech—even when listening through a TV’s built-in speakers.

The channel launches with a curated selection of popular early-2000s Korean dramas, including Autumn in My Heart, The Success Story of a Bright Girl and Damo. These titles are presented in a technically refreshed format aimed at viewers who want to revisit iconic series without the limitations of outdated video quality.

Samsung has confirmed that the catalogue will expand in the coming weeks with additional well-known productions such as Winter Sonata, Rooftop Cat and Tomato, reinforcing the channel’s focus on nostalgia paired with modern presentation standards.

Smart viewing features: AI Recap and AI Synopsis

Beyond remastering, the All-In-One AI channel introduces smart tools designed to simplify serialized viewing. AI Recap automatically generates summaries of previous episodes by selecting key scenes, allowing viewers to quickly catch up on the story.

AI Synopsis provides a short overview before each episode begins, offering helpful context for complex narratives or series with large casts, and reducing the barrier to jumping back into long-running shows.

Currently available only in South Korea, the All-In-One AI channel serves as an important pilot project for Samsung. If the concept proves successful, it could expand to other markets, signaling a future where artificial intelligence moves from behind-the-scenes optimization to the very center of the television viewing experience.
