Polestar is strengthening its public charging ecosystem across Europe, expanding Plug & Charge availability and fully integrating Tesla Superchargers into the Polestar Charge app. The move improves convenience for electric vehicle drivers while widening access to one of the continent’s largest charging networks.
Plug & Charge now supported across more than 28,000 chargers
Plug & Charge allows the vehicle to communicate directly with the charging station, with authentication and payment handled automatically. By removing several steps from the traditional charging process, the system simplifies public charging and makes it largely frictionless.

The feature is included as a complimentary benefit when using Polestar Charge and is currently available across more than 400 compatible charging stations in Norway, including IONITY, Porsche Smart Mobility and Allego. Across Europe, more than 28,000 chargers now support Plug & Charge.
Tesla Superchargers integrated into Polestar Charge
Polestar has fully integrated Tesla Superchargers into its own charging ecosystem, becoming one of the first automakers to do so. Drivers can now access over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers at more than 1,500 locations across Europe directly through the Polestar Charge app, eliminating the need to switch between different apps.
Real-time Supercharger availability is also shown in the vehicle’s Google Maps-based navigation system, helping drivers plan routes and charging stops more efficientl
Polestar Charge now provides access to more than one million public charging points via a single app, making it one of Europe’s largest EV charging networks. The system combines EV optimization, route planning and integrated payment in Google Maps to help drivers find convenient charging stops along their journey.
Available across all Polestar markets in Europe, the network includes major operators such as IONITY, Recharge, Total, Fastned, Tesla Superchargers and Allego, along with numerous local providers.
Drivers with a Polestar Charge subscription can also benefit from discounted fast charging at more than 80,000 charging points across 42 operators. Adoption continues to grow, with over 45,000 users in 2025 — a 30 percent increase compared with 2024.
