Oppo has entered a new partnership with Elkjøp Nordic, putting its full smartphone lineup on shelves across Danish, Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian retail stores. The deal brings Oppo’s range into Elkjøp Nordic’s nationwide store chains, known as Elgiganten in Denmark and Sweden, Elkjøp in Norway, and Gigantti in Finland, covering everything from the entry level A-series and mid range Reno series up to the flagship Find series.
Oppo Nordic retail expansion arrives at a shifting moment
The agreement marks a genuine step up in Oppo’s presence across the Nordics. As the world’s fourth largest smartphone maker, Oppo is pairing its global scale with a strong focus on technology and a wide product range aimed at Nordic consumers. The timing lines up with real change in the Nordic smartphone market, where buyers are increasingly looking for alternatives in both the mainstream and premium segments, an opening Oppo is looking to fill by leaning on its strengths in imaging, design and AI, now backed by Elkjøp Nordic’s extensive retail network.
Torkil Sagafos, buying director for telecom at Elkjøp Nordic, welcomed Oppo into the company’s Nordic smartphone lineup, describing customer expectations around access to a broad, competitive range of leading technology, and positioning Oppo as a strong addition to that offering.
Oppo OnePlus Nordic customers get a clear landing spot
Sagafos drew a direct line between the partnership and OnePlus’s withdrawal from the Nordic market, describing his own firsthand impression of Oppo’s innovation after extensive travel in China and expressing genuine confidence in the brand’s quality, even though it may still be a relatively unfamiliar name to many Nordic shoppers. He positioned Oppo as a natural landing spot for loyal OnePlus customers specifically, offering the same performance, innovation and premium feel they’re used to, paired with Oppo’s particular strengths in imaging and design. He framed the goal going forward as making Oppo’s products accessible to more consumers across Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway through Elkjøp’s local retail chains.

Jeremy Geng, chief executive of Oppo Nordics, described the Nordic smartphone market as being in a state of change, one Oppo is positioned to take advantage of through the Elkjøp Nordic partnership, extending the brand’s reach across all four Nordic markets and giving more consumers the chance to try its products directly.
Leaning on camera technology and the OnePlus relationship
Geng pointed to Oppo’s scale, technology and product range as the foundation for a genuine long term commitment to the Nordic market, while also highlighting the brand’s close relationship with OnePlus as giving Oppo a real understanding of what existing OnePlus users value in their smartphones.
He also emphasised camera technology as a long standing area of investment for Oppo, noting the strong reception the Find X9 Ultra has already received in the Nordics, with positive reviews from leading media particularly praising its camera performance. According to Geng, that early reception gives Oppo real confidence in the value it can offer Nordic consumers going forward
