Opel now unveils a facelift of the compact Astra, giving it a sharper look with the new “Vizor” front design, larger interior screens, and a wide range of technical upgrades.
Interior and Technology Upgrades
Among the highlights are a fully digital cockpit with two 10-inch displays integrated under a single panel (Pure Panel), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, updated voice control, and wireless phone charging. The facelift also brings more USB-C ports (including for rear passengers) and a new electronic parking brake as standard.
The updated Astra additionally receives more standard driver-assistance features, including the Intelli-Drive 2.0 package with semi-autonomous driving, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and lane-keeping assist.
Improved Range — Up to 454 km
The biggest change under the bonnet is a new 48V mild-hybrid system with 136 hp, combining a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a small electric motor and battery. This reduces fuel consumption and enables short periods of electric driving in urban areas. The traditional 130 hp petrol and diesel variants will also remain in the line-up.

Meanwhile, the fully electric Astra Electric gets new, more energy-dense battery cells, increasing usable capacity from 51 kWh to 55.4 kWh. This boosts range by 35 km — from around 417 km to up to 454 km (WLTP) on a single charge.
Maximum DC charging power remains 100 kW, but the charging port now supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), allowing the car to power external devices (e.g., an e-bike, tools, or camping equipment) via an adapter.
Only as an EV in Denmark and Norway
The updated Opel Astra will make its public world debut at the Brussels Motor Show on January 9, before launching across European markets in the spring. Prices and exact launch dates for Denmark and Norway will be announced later.

In the two countries, the Astra is expected to be offered exclusively as an electric model, with diesel and hybrid versions not planned for sale.
