Hyundai has released new images of the Ioniq 3, showing the compact electric hatchback in a fresh configuration following its global debut at Milan Design Week 2026. The model, unveiled first in N Line trim, is now shown across the wider range that will reach European customers.
A new take on the compact electric hatchback
Ioniq 3 combines a distinctive exterior, a warm and highly customizable cabin, and next generation connectivity technology. Developed specifically in Europe, the car is built to meet the everyday needs of local customers and extends the innovative character of the Ioniq range to a wider audience.

The Ioniq 3 is shaped by Hyundai’s Art of Steel design language, a minimal and essential approach that takes form in the new Aero Hatch silhouette. The design balances aerodynamic efficiency, road presence, and elegance, while preserving a spacious and comfortable interior for daily use.
Where the N Line variant carries a bolder, more muscular character, the rest of the lineup highlights the Aero Hatch silhouette through clean surfaces, balanced proportions, and a range of interior color combinations designed to create a bright and welcoming cabin. Wheel options span from 16 to 18 inches, giving customers further scope to personalize the car, from designs focused on aerodynamic efficiency to more expressive alternatives.
An interior designed as a living space
Inside, Ioniq 3 offers a functional and contemporary cabin. Its main volumes follow soft lines that mirror the natural behavior of the materials used, improving comfort and perceived quality. Clean surfaces bring functional elements such as the air vents and central display into sharp focus, keeping them clearly visible and well integrated into the overall design.

The cabin follows Hyundai’s Furnished Space concept, treating the main interior elements more like furniture than traditional automotive components. A wide range of available color combinations allows for different atmospheres, from open and bright to more intimate and refined. The result is an interior meant to feel closer to a domestic space than a conventional cabin, with carefully selected fabrics, soft tones, and balanced color pairings that set the standard Ioniq 3 apart from the sportier N Line.
Pleos Connect, the new infotainment system
Ioniq 3 is the first Hyundai model for the European market to introduce Pleos Connect, the brand’s next generation infotainment system. Built on Android Automotive OS, it offers a smartphone inspired interface with expandable functionality through integrated apps, aiming to make interaction with vehicle information and entertainment more intuitive.
The system pairs a central display, available in 12.9 or 14.6 inch versions depending on trim, with a slim driver display that keeps key information always visible, helping reduce distractions while keeping the interface clean. Pleos Connect also introduces the new Pleos App Market, an open platform that lets third party developers integrate new apps and services. Around ten apps covering music, entertainment, and productivity will be available at launch, with more than thirty planned by the end of the year.
Among the key additions is Gleo AI, Hyundai’s new intelligent voice assistant. Designed to handle natural conversation and understand customer needs, Gleo AI allows drivers to access the car’s main functions through simple, intuitive dialogue, taking human machine interaction a step further.
Developed in Europe
Ioniq 3 has been developed, tested, and produced from the outset with a dedicated focus on the European market, reflecting Hyundai’s broader ambition to combine innovation, customer focus, and technological ambition in redefining the standards of electric mobility.

European driving habits, infrastructure, and customer expectations shaped every stage of the project. This is reflected in the car’s compact dimensions, high efficiency, and generous interior space, making it well suited to daily city and suburban use as well as longer journeys. Development and testing carried out in Europe also allowed engineers to fine tune suspension, steering, and ride comfort for the continent’s varied road conditions, with European teams involved from the earliest stages of design and product development.
Production takes place at the Hyundai Motor Türkiye plant in İzmit, part of the brand’s European production network, supporting efficient logistics to Hyundai’s key markets and strengthening the company’s ability to respond quickly to local customer expectations.
