The Luxury Performance AWD version adds a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with a total output of 362 hp and 540 Nm of torque. WLTP range is rated at up to 485 km, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.1 seconds. Pricing in Denmark starts at DKK 334,999.

Both variants are approved for towing loads of up to 1,500 kg.

Interior and practicality

The interior of the MGS6 EV marks a clear step forward compared to previous MG models, with increased emphasis on material quality, build consistency and layout. The cabin combines Alcantara and synthetic leather with soft-touch surfaces and a modern design approach.

Space is a key characteristic of the model. The MGS6 EV offers generous headroom and legroom in both rows, with rear-seat accommodation suitable for adult passengers. A panoramic glass roof contributes to a brighter cabin environment.

Luggage capacity is rated at 493 litres (VDA) in the rear compartment. In addition, the vehicle features a front storage compartment with a capacity of up to 86 litres (VDA). A flat floor and wide-opening doors are designed to improve ease of access and everyday usability.

Technology and equipment

The MGS6 EV is equipped with a broad range of digital and comfort-oriented features as standard. These include a 12.8-inch central touchscreen with MG’s iSMART infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included.

Physical controls for climate functions are retained alongside the touchscreen interface. Additional standard equipment includes a 360-degree camera system, wireless smartphone charging, multiple USB ports, an EV route planner, an automatically dimming interior mirror and an electrically operated tailgate with hands-free operation.

Comfort features include heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, rear air vents, front and rear parking sensors and a rain sensor. Both front seats are electrically adjustable, with memory and lumbar support for the driver.

Driving characteristics

The MGS6 EV has been developed with an emphasis on comfort and stability. Steering, suspension and braking systems are calibrated to deliver predictable behaviour across different driving conditions. The Performance AWD variant focuses on higher acceleration performance, while the Long Range version is positioned as a more efficiency-oriented option for everyday driving.

Safety systems

The MGS6 EV has received a five-star rating from Euro NCAP. The rating reflects both the vehicle’s structural performance and the inclusion of a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems.

The MG Pilot safety package includes automatic emergency braking, traffic jam assist, forward collision warning, intelligent high-beam control, emergency lane keeping, speed assistance, driver fatigue monitoring, lane change assist, multi-collision braking, active lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and door open warning.

Electric drivetrain and charging

The MGS6 EV is equipped with a heat pump and a battery heating system, including navigation-based pre-conditioning prior to fast charging. Maximum DC charging power is rated at up to 144 kW, enabling charging from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 38 minutes.

Actual driving range will vary depending on temperature, speed and driving style. The vehicle supports one-pedal driving to optimise energy recuperation and includes battery management systems designed for everyday efficiency. With an adapter, the battery can also be used to supply power to external electrical devices.
