Hyundai has just unveiled a teaser for its upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 9, a fully electric 7-seater SUV that promises to combine space, comfort, and cutting-edge design. This new flagship model represents Hyundai’s continued commitment to electrification and serves as the latest evolution in their growing Ioniq lineup.
The “9” designation not only marks the model’s flagship status but also represents Hyundai’s entry into the premium, larger SUV segment within its electric lineup. Like the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6, the IONIQ 9 will be built on Hyundai’s innovative Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which has already set new standards for spacious, comfortable interiors in the EV market.

This advanced platform allows for a flat cabin floor and extended wheelbase, creating ample room for passengers, including a third row, while also enhancing the driving experience through a low center of gravity.
Aerodynamic design and elegance
The IONIQ 9 features Hyundai’s signature “Aerosthetic” design philosophy, which blends aerodynamic efficiency with a modern, streamlined aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from luxury yachts, the IONIQ 9 boasts a gracefully curved roofline and a long wheelbase that emphasizes a spacious, welcoming cabin. Sketches reveal sleek side lines, inspired by the flowing shapes of the traditional Korean Hanbok, and an interior that promises to be as comforting as it is spacious.

Hyundai is gradually revealing these design elements through its social media channels, building anticipation for the Ioniq 9’s global unveiling.
