EVision 2026, organised by Eurelectric, will return to the historic Autoworld museum in Brussels on 4–5 March 2026. The two‑day conference will convene policymakers, industry executives and technical experts to explore the next phase of Europe’s electric mobility transition through a programme of high‑level panels and targeted sessions.
Accelerating Europe’s e‑Mobility Transition
As Europe intensifies efforts toward climate neutrality, EVision 2026 will examine the market, regulatory and technological forces reshaping transport. Sessions will focus on expanding charging infrastructure, integrating electric vehicles with power systems, consumer adoption trends and policy frameworks needed to make the transition equitable and efficient.
A central strand of EVision 2026 is a joint initiative from Eurelectric and EY that highlights the pivotal role of fleet electrification. Today, only 6% of Europe’s corporate and commercial fleet is electrified — a stark reminder of the scale of the opportunity.
The forthcoming Eurelectric–EY study will explore how electrifying company cars, logistics vans and heavy trucks could deliver substantial benefits, including:
- Major CO₂ reductions across urban and long‑haul transport;
- Improved grid flexibility through smart charging and coordinated fleet depot management;
- Stronger industrial competitiveness as European manufacturers and fleets scale EV deployment and associated services.
From Insight to Action
The report will present actionable recommendations to tackle key barriers such as infrastructure shortfalls, vehicle availability, and policy fragmentation across member states. It will also map a practical roadmap for scaling electrification across diverse fleet segments, offering guidance for fleet operators, utilities, manufacturers and legislators.
Why This Matters Now
With tightening climate targets and rapid improvements in battery technology and total cost of ownership, fleets represent a high‑impact lever for decarbonising transport. EVision 2026 aims to move the conversation from pilots and pledges to large‑scale deployment that creates measurable emissions savings and economic value.
