The updated Cupra Tavascan lands in Denmark with a new 190 hp entry model starting from 269,990 kroner

Cupra has revealed the Danish model lineup for its updated Tavascan, and the headline news is a new entry point into the range. Alongside new technology, updated comfort features and a fresh 58 kWh version producing 190 hp, the starting price drops to 269,990 kr.

The Tavascan launched as Cupra’s first fully electric SUV coupé, pairing an aggressive, distinctive design with sporty handling and genuinely usable everyday space. This update brings the model’s first major refresh, widening the lineup while focusing improvements primarily on technology, controls and comfort.

Cupra Tavascan 190 hp entry model brings the price down

The biggest news for the Danish lineup is the introduction of a new Tavascan built around a 58 kWh LFP battery, 190 hp and rear wheel drive. It offers an expected range of up to 439 km, supports DC charging up to 105 kW, and can tow up to 1,000 kg. At 269,990 kr, it becomes the most accessible Cupra Tavascan to date.

Despite the smaller battery, this isn’t a stripped down introductory trim. Standard equipment includes 19 inch alloy wheels, full LED front and rear lights, a heated windscreen, heated front seats, a heat pump, progressive steering, adaptive cruise control, Side Assist, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 15 inch central touchscreen.

For buyers who want the new 58 kWh drivetrain paired with a higher equipment level, Cupra is also introducing the Tavascan Plus at 299,990 kr, matching the standard equipment level of the existing Tavascan Endurance trim. That gives the lineup a spread running from the new 190 hp entry model all the way up to the all wheel drive Tavascan VZ Adrenaline with 340 hp, now rated to tow up to 1,800 kg.

Physical buttons return alongside a bigger digital cockpit

The update is just as noticeable from the driver’s seat. The digital instrument cluster grows to 10.25 inches, while the multifunction steering wheel swaps its previous touch sensitive controls for physical buttons. Phone placement has also been improved, with wireless charging upgraded to 45 watts.

The infotainment system moves to a new Android based platform with 5G connectivity, and the Top View Camera system has been improved as well. Climate control gets a rework too, with electrically controlled air vents letting temperature, airflow, demisting and driver or passenger ventilation all be adjusted digitally.

Your phone becomes the key, the car becomes a power source

The updated Tavascan adds Mobile Device Key, letting a compatible smartphone act as a digital car key. Using Bluetooth and NFC, the car can be locked, unlocked and started without the traditional physical key.

Another notable addition is Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), which lets the car’s high voltage battery power external electrical equipment, from e-bikes and laptops to high performance cool boxes. One Pedal Driving becomes standard across the range, while versions with the larger battery gain access to Launch Control.

Updated safety and assistance systems

Safety and driver assistance systems have been upgraded too. The new Emergency Assist 3.6 is designed for situations where the driver becomes unable to control the car, capable of performing a controlled deceleration, triggering an eCall, and, where traffic conditions allow, steering the car toward the emergency lane.

Travel Assist moves up to version 3.0 as well, with an updated camera system that can recognise traffic lights, direction signs and stop lines, allowing the car to respond appropriately to a red light.

Cupra Tavascan specs and Danish pricing

The new 58 kWh Tavascan sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and offers up to 439 km of range. The rear wheel drive 77 kWh versions produce 286 hp, reach up to roughly 545 km of range, and can tow up to 1,200 kg. The range topping VZ Adrenaline combines 340 hp with all wheel drive, sprints to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, and offers a range of around 513 km, alongside its increased 1,800 kg towing capacity.

The updated Cupra Tavascan can be ordered now, with the first cars expected to arrive for test drives at Danish Cupra dealers from week 38.
