Linus Eriksson, chief executive of Øresundsbron, pointed to digitalisation and AI as important tools for making things simpler for the bridge’s customers while also contributing to smarter operation and maintenance of the crossing itself. He described Melvanius as someone who combines stable IT operations with strategic digital development, framing her skills as a genuine asset as the company continues developing the bridge going forward.

Øresundsbron leadership appointment covers both daily IT and long term strategy

As CDO, Melvanius takes responsibility for leading Øresundsbron’s digitalisation and IT work as a whole, a remit spanning both day to day IT operations and the longer term development of new digital working methods and solutions.

Melvanius herself described Øresundsbron as a genuinely exciting company, pointing to the combination of critical infrastructure, advanced technology and a clear ambition for continued development as what drew her to the role. She said she’s looking forward to working with colleagues to develop new working methods and solutions that create value both for the people using the bridge and for those working there.
