Alfa Romeo is heading into one of the busiest product cycles in its recent history, with a wave of new models and significant redesigns planned over the next four years. According to details shared by Italian outlet Quattroruote, which has also produced early digital renderings of what these future cars might look like, the roadmap includes a next generation Stelvio, a next generation Giulia, an entirely new compact segment model, and a fresh C SUV built to replace the current Tonale.
Next Stelvio and Giulia remain the least defined for now
The two models still surrounded by the most uncertainty are the future Stelvio and Giulia. Alfa Romeo has confirmed that both are currently under internal study, though the brand has deliberately avoided committing to firm details, leaving the door open while also keeping the option to change direction depending on how the segment evolves over the coming years.
Both the current Stelvio and Giulia earned strong praise across Europe and even found success after launching in the United States, yet neither model ever managed to fully match the sales performance of their German rivals. Because of this, it remains genuinely unclear how Alfa Romeo will approach their successors. Quattroruote estimates that neither car is likely to arrive before 2028, and has already published a speculative rendering suggesting how the new Stelvio could look.
What is already confirmed for Alfa Romeo’s future lineup
Far more certain is the arrival of a brand new compact segment model, something Alfa Romeo itself has already officially confirmed. A preview of this upcoming car was shown during Stellantis Investor Day, meaning the final production version is not expected to differ dramatically from what has already been teased.
Rather than following the classic hatchback formula, the new model is expected to sit slightly higher and lean more toward a crossover style body. Regardless of the exact shape, it is expected to stay true to Alfa Romeo’s sporty DNA, offering a genuinely aggressive character designed to win over longtime brand purists.
A new C SUV built in Melfi will replace the Tonale
The other confirmed addition to the lineup is a new C SUV, which will take over from the current Tonale and will be manufactured in Melfi, riding on the STLA Medium platform. The model is expected to be offered in both hybrid and fully electric versions, sharing its underlying architecture with the Jeep Compass, Fiat Gamma, and DS 7.
Quattroruote’s rendering imagines the car with an elongated hood, a front end featuring horizontal LED lighting reminiscent of the Cybertruck and Tesla Model Y, and a modern reinterpretation of Alfa Romeo’s historic trilobo grille design. There is also speculation that a high performance Quadrifoglio variant could eventually join the range.
