Few cars capture the spirit of youth and urban energy quite like the Seat Ibiza. Since its debut in 1984, it has been more than just a small hatchback — it has been a cultural statement on wheels.
Now, over 40 years and 6 million units later, SEAT has unveiled the latest chapter in this story: the new Ibiza, a car designed to blend a fresh design, refined quality, and a stronger value proposition than ever before.
Developed and produced at Seat’s Martorell facility near Barcelona, the new Ibiza will hit the roads in January 2026 — with a mission to inspire a new generation of drivers.

A bolder, sharper exterior
The new Ibiza embraces a more expressive, youthful look. The redesigned hexagonal grille, slimmer Full LED headlights, and refined light signature give the car a more confident front end. The new bumper and sculpted air intakes create a strong visual link to the road, while the dark aluminium model lettering and colour-accented rear diffuser add a sporty finish.

The FR trim brings an extra layer of dynamism, with a laser-etched B-pillar logo, black wing mirrors, and new 17” or 18” alloy wheels available in painted or machined finishes. A refreshed colour palette — featuring new hues like Liminal, Oniric, and Hypnotic — injects a dose of youthful personality across the range.

Inside, the Ibiza has grown up without losing its playful edge. The cabin feels far more premium, with embossed textile seats, soft-touch surfaces, and a darker headliner that creates a more immersive space.

The 100% leather perforated steering wheel offers tactile precision, while the FR version gets sport-focused bucket seats, dark-tinted windows, and SEAT Drive Profile modes for a blend of comfort and performance.

Lighting plays a big role too. LED accents now frame the air vents in Fresh Mint (Style trim) or Silver Metallic (FR), bringing a subtle splash of colour to the otherwise sleek black cabin. The optional panoramic sunroof enhances space and natural light, elevating the sense of refinement even further.
Digital and connected
The new Ibiza remains deeply connected. The floating infotainment display comes in 8.25” or 9.2” configurations and supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. With Seat Connect, drivers can stay synced to online services, navigation, and vehicle data through a tap or a voice command — simply say “Hola, hola” to wake the system.

A new SEAT Sound System with six speakers, subwoofer, and a 300W amplifier ensures every beat is crisp and powerful. Meanwhile, refrigerated 15W wireless charging keeps smartphones cool and fully charged during every drive.
Engines for Every Mood
Powering the Ibiza is a range of four efficient petrol engines, combining performance and economy across different power outputs:
- 1.0 MPI – 80PS, 5-speed manual
- 1.0 TSI – 95PS, 5-speed manual
- 1.0 TSI – 115PS, 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG
- 1.5 TSI – 150PS, 7-speed DSG
Built on the proven MQB-A0 platform, the Ibiza maintains its benchmark agility, with MacPherson struts up front and a torsion beam rear setup tuned for everyday comfort and spirited handling. The SEAT Drive Profile lets drivers tailor throttle, steering, and gearbox response through Eco, Normal, Sport, and Individual modes.

Safety remains a key pillar of the new Seat Ibiza. Advanced features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Tiredness Recognition help take the stress out of city driving.
Travel Assist combines ACC and Lane Assist to enable semi-automated driving, while Traffic Sign Recognition keeps drivers informed of changing speed limits. Side Assist and High Beam Assist further enhance visibility and awareness, leveraging the new Full LED technology that triples brightness compared to the previous generation.
Trim Line-Up: Three Flavours of Ibiza
The Ibiza range will be offered in three trims: Ibiza, Style, and FR.
- Style introduces added sophistication, with high-quality textiles, contrast stitching, and upgraded infotainment options.
- FR, the sportiest of the trio, adds athletic touches like exclusive wheels, driving modes, bucket seats, and exterior black detailing.
Each trim can be further personalised with options like Climatronic climate control, keyless entry, or the 9.2-inch navigation system, ensuring every Ibiza reflects its driver’s personality.
