2026 Ford Capri meaningful improvements to range, performance, and technology — alongside a limited-edition model that pays homage to the nameplate’s storied motorsport past.

A limited edition with racing DNA

Leading the announcement is the Capri Collection, a special series that draws directly from the visual language of historic Capri racing cars and cult performance road cars. The most striking feature is an exclusive Tribute Blue paint finish — a deliberate nod to classic Capri racing liveries — paired with black front and rear valances, side skirts, a rear spoiler, and new 21-inch machine-faced alloy wheels finished in satin black.

Inside, the theme continues with Black Onyx upholstery accented by blue seat sides, seatbelts, and a distinctive black-and-blue speckle effect across the dashboard and centre console. Vertical stripe seat inserts echo the exterior detailing and reinforce the motorsport connection.

More range from a new battery

The Standard Range Capri has been fitted with a new Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, pushing the driving range up to 463 km on a full charge — an increase of over 17 percent. The upgraded electric motor now produces 140 kW (190 PS) and 350 Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in 8.0 seconds. As a bonus, LFP chemistry relies on fewer high-demand raw materials than conventional battery technology.

Driver assistance gets a serious upgrade

Ford has expanded the Capri’s suite of driver assistance systems considerably. The Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control now adds Traffic Light Recognition, allowing the car to automatically slow or stop when it detects a red or amber light ahead.

Two new parking-focused systems are also on board. Reversing Assist records the vehicle’s path over up to 50 metres and handles the steering when reversing — useful for navigating tight lanes. Trained Park Assist goes a step further, learning up to five specific parking manoeuvres and replicating them autonomously, taking care of acceleration, braking, and steering so the driver doesn’t have to.

Perhaps the most significant new system is Driver State Assist, which monitors the driver’s attention via a cabin-facing camera. If no steering input is detected, the car will alert the driver — and if the situation continues, it will activate hazard lights, bring the vehicle to a controlled stop, unlock the doors, and contact the emergency services. A potentially life-saving feature in the event of a medical emergency.

One-pedal driving also comes as standard across the range.

The Capri becomes a mobile power station

A new Pro Power Onboard feature turns the Capri into a portable power source, delivering up to 2.3 kW of combined output. A socket in the boot lets owners charge laptops and other electronics discreetly, while an optional adapter plugged into the charge port can power electric bikes or outdoor equipment. An optional Travel Pack adds a dog guard, a frunk organiser for emergency items, and a dedicated charge cable compartment.

Infotainment gets a fresh coat of polish

The 14.6-inch moveable SYNC Move touchscreen now runs on updated Android-based software, with a redesigned interface that allows apps to be grouped into folders — much like a smartphone home screen. The navigation and parking assist screens have been enlarged for easier at-a-glance use, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain standard.
